This is such a great addition to our quiet neighborhood (that sometimes feels like deadsville, to be honest).
I can't wait for the place to open, and welcome the traffic and the action (and the beer and yummy foods too, of course). A little noise won't kill you. If you want peace and quiet, you should live in the country, not in a city. Get over it, people! |

#21, which member of management are you?
The selling point to LH was the tranquility but still in an urban environment. You want to puke on yourself, deal with drunks at 2AM and eat overpriced food? Move to Hoboken. |

I think a lot of people moved to this particular development BECAUSE it was a quieter spot than others in JC, while being just a short walk to the bar scene on Grove, on Newark, in Paulus Hook, you name it.
The plans for a fine dining restaurant, a coffee shop, a bakery, a green space, etc all sounded pretty nice and would have brought some energy out this way. Funny how there was no mention of a ginormous beer garden even after asking the sales team what the potential night-life would be like. A cozy neighborhood bar (with a beer garden theme) tucked into one of the brownstones would have been awesome! |

I partially agree with #21 (and no, I am not management). I like the idea of the beer garden. if you've ever been to zum schneider's in nyc, you'd understand. Honestly, there are not many places in JC with a large outdoor dining facility or a place to watch sporting events. That said, I do think they are a little over ambitious with the size of the place. They really should have only used 2/3 or 1/2 of the outdoor space and left the other side for an outdoor lounge for the zenith residents. It is just too big. Nothing looks worse (from a marketing standpoint) than an small crows at a large bar/restaurant/etc. Unless they pull a crowd from the paulus hook area, i am not sure how they are going to fill up the place consistently. (and the paulus hook crowd seems pretty content to stay in their little cocoon of a neighborhood.)

The Paulus Hook neighborhood is the main means of financial support for downtown Jersey City. They are the ones who are out there spending money and they have more of it than any other section of Jersey City. The worst at supporting businesses is the Newport section, which is made up of transients who venture outdoors only to buy ethnic food. Also, the outdoor space at Zepp Hall is not very big at all. |

The Paulus Hook area is made up of a bunch of snobs. If the residents( who are financially secure) really cared about their neighborhood than why don't they fix it up. It's a dump, a cemetery and a dangerous place to walk at night. No light streets. Unlike Newport where the streets are clean of dog feces(because people here clean up after their dogs),beautifully landscaped with private security. The perfect community.

I couldn't agree more. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. They can't do much to shrink the inside, but I suppose they could redo the outside without too much trouble. They can pack 'em into the Sandbar... so maybe the same will happen with this place too? Of course it's a catch-22 because if this place becomes Sandbar II... I imagine the residents will revolt... as will the ppl looking for a beer garden atmosphere. |

With the light rail right outside the back door of the Zeppelin, I'm sure this new establishment will attract people from all over the area. I love the idea and can't wait for them to open already!
I don't think we'll suffer from too much noise... We moved here from the city where we lived next door to a large sports bar. Of course you hear stuff sometimes, but you get used to it and it becomes part of your normal "ambiance"... I wouldn't worry too much. |

What's the over/under on the first mugging while some drunk tool bag tries to make it back to the parking lot near the medical center?
